Dr. Hendrien Joubert

Walden

I studied medicine at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein and did my residency at One Military Hospital in Pretoria, South Africa. After the residency I worked for eighteen months at the Gynecology Department of One Military Hospital and since then I am a family physician. From a young age I knew I wanted to be a physician and I enjoy it.

Patient care means to be available, to listen, to explain and discuss the diagnoses and the treatment with the patients and to keep their expectations and wishes in mind.Β  Patients should know their best interest is at heart. Being a family physician is very rewarding. I love working with the whole family, the different stages of their lives and the challenges of each stage. Pediatrics is my special interest.

I am excited about practicing in Walden, to be part of a new, developing clinic in a growing community. Outside of the office I like gardening and doing pewter work. With the beautiful environment of Calgary biking and hiking is a must.
